It was a happy accident or the kiln goddess was with my 'shadow people'. I fired some 5" x 7" tiles, thinking I had a red clay. I drew the faces with black underglaze. It turns out, it was brown clay and the tiles looked great to me. The tile, with only one face on it, is owned by someone else now.

The painting was done sometime between 1967 and 1970. The model kept moving her arm. So, I gave her several arms.
